I was out of control and restriction free life and it really seems damaged my eyes. Presently I am in good control and the symptoms of the eye damage have started showing. Funny thing is once you are in control and have any the eye disease then it will get worse or show clearer than before. What I have is macular edema (leaky vessels) which is not severe but it’s enough causing me horrible light sensitivity and distortion during wake up in the mornings. It’s worse in the morning because lying down for hours and during weak up the fluid rushes in to the eyes. After macular edema test it will be clearer which vessels are leaking. Then I will need to go for macular edema laser surgery on both eyes to stop blood vessel leakage. It is lucky for me to get noticed at an early stage before much damage is done. But I am afraid for the laser and its heat on me eyes.
