Fish oil supplements may help limit the inflammation associated with diabetes and also helps to enhance insulin sensitivity, according to new research. Researcher Jerrold Olefsky, professor of medicine for the University Of California San Diego School Of Medicine, said: "The receptor evolved to respond to omega-3 fatty acids, so that the inflammatory process can be controlled. This study shows fish oils safely do this, and suggests a way to treat inflammation in conditions like diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease just by simple dietary supplementation." This may lead to the development of a dietary remedy for many Americans who have diabetes and related conditions.
Cytokines (A Greek word meaning cell movement) are small cell signaling protein molecules that are secreted by the nervous system and by the immune system. Several inflammatory cytokines are induced by oxidant stress. The cytokines themselves trigger the release of other cytokines and lead to increased oxidant stress makes them important in chronic inflammation.

Fish oil is best supplement for diabetes.thanks for sharing this post, this is really informative post for me.
Generally Speaking No."Fish Oil" is an Omega 3 fatty acid that within itself instigates no insulin response. As a matter of fact, any Omega 3 fat actually enhances the insulin receptors on each cell to pump more sugar into the cells from the blood. I would guess you most likely eat a lot of simple carbohydrates like bread, pasta, rice, sweet drinks (sodas or tea). If that is the case, your insulin receptors are in a "down grade" from the hyper-insulinity. In the presence of high blood sugar and insulin, insulin receptors be come less and less sensitive and it takes more insulin to active the insulin pump on each cell. Soon, the pancreas can not make enough insulin to activate the sugar pumps on the insulin receptors and blood sugar increases to damaging levels (Type II diabetes). Most of the time you can reverse the insensitivity by eating less simple carbohydrates and more protein. Blood Type Os and Bs can eat more lean meats and leave the potatoes alone. Blood Type A and AB should eat more vegetable protein like tofu, soy and whey. In either case, any food that has sugar ( corn syrup too) or starch should be avoided. High triglyceride level ( over 100) is a good indicator of a carbohydrate rich diet.
