Depression/suicide/denial

I have been learning a lot through reading posts and it has been very helpful, so I like to say thank you.
I have been having a bad time since my diabetes type 1 diagnosis, I feel depressed with suicidal thought all the time: can't able to accept this diagnosis; grieving for my old self; can’t accept diabetes with me forever; Always feel I don’t wake up tomorrow morning. I am trying to manage everything but it is too much to do and can’t get anything right.

I have too much financial pressure and a lack of support from family & friends. Presently I have no self esteem, no motivation and zero reason to live. Also I have a feeling to allow this illness to just do what it wants to do and let it slowly kill me.

Quite normal to feel depressed

It’s hurt me too with my diabetes diagnosis. It’s quite normal to feel depressed over diagnosed with a life long chronic disease. It is normal to grieve over losing a part of your life that is gone. We are all here to help you out, I really hope you hear my say...it is really not the end of the world. It is possible for you to have a normal, happy life and do whatever things you ever wanted to do. It takes some time to learn to manage your diabetes just you need some patience. There are many people right here on this forum who lead their life well with their diabetes, mostly one or other day they too had depression similar to you. I promise it gets better and one day like me you guide another newly diagnosed diabetic. Please ask anything you need to, we are all here to help each other when we need it.
