Reflexology how is it possible?

Reflexology is the practice of applying gentle pressure to the feet, hands & ear; by utilizing thumb, finger, hand or other objects with or without the use of oil, cream or lotion on the zones and reflex areas (reflect the body on the feet and hands). Doing such work effects a physical change in the body.

How it is possible just by gentle massaging the foot can induce a change in the physical upper body and internal organs? Please explain

Reflexology is beneficial to health

Archeological evidence shows reflexology practices in Egypt (2330 BCE), China (2704 BCE) and Japan (690 CE).

Many studies show’s reflexology is effective and beneficial in many ways; physical and psychological concerns.
# Relaxation: At the moment treatment starts, the relaxation begins which was confirmed using EEG (brain activity).
# Relief pain: Study shows pain relief following reflexology treatment on individuals of all ages and health states.
# Improves blood flow: Studies show it increases blood flow to the feet, brain, kidneys and intestines.
# Aids post-operation: Helps faster recovery after surgery by reducing pain and helps to cut down in analgesics.
# Benefits mental health: Study shows it can reduce depression and anxiety.
# Pregnancy care: It shorter labor times, positive impact on postpartum depression, anxiety, urination and bowel movements.

In general terms, the benefits of reflexology have to do with the reduction of stress. Because the feet and hands help set the tension level for the rest of the body, they are an easy way to interrupt the stress signal and reset homeostasis, the body's equilibrium.
