Reflexology Skeletal System

Human skeleton consists of three sections; bones, cartilages, and joints. Bone is a hard pattern of connective tissue. Cartilage is also a connective tissue; however, not as hard as a bone. Joints in the human skeleton enable movement. Skeletal system comprises 206 bones; vertebral column, breastbone, shoulder blades, collarbones, elbow, wrist, metacarpals, phalanges, pelvic girdle, thigh, knee, shin, and foot bones.

5 Sturdy reflexes Strong Skeletal

The job of the human skeleton is to provide strength, support, and shape. In addition, it protect delicate organs and gives mobility.

Teeth is part of the skeletal system made of enamel and dentin; however, not consider as a bone. Enamel is the strongest substance in the body.

Spinal cord consists of 26 vertebrae, forming the human vertebral column. Neck contain seven cervical vertebrae, Chest contains 12 Thoracic vertebrae, Lower back contain five Lumbar vertebrae, Sacrum contains one vertebra, and Coccyx or tailbone contain one vertebra.

Shoulder reflex point

How to do reflexology therapy for the shoulder? On the fourth and fifth toe base, place the index finger on the dorsal aspect and the thumb on the lateral aspect. Walk four steps away from the toe. Reflexology therapy for the shoulder is useful for shoulder problems; it relieves tension as well as facilitates mobility.

Wrist reflex point

Knee reflex point

How to do reflexology therapy for the knee? Using the thumb, walk two steps from elbow reflexes below to reach a small bony protrusion on the foot lateral side. Hook and backup for 5 seconds. Reflexology therapy for the knee is useful to reduce knee pain, ligament sprain, arthritis, and strengthen knee joint.

Hip reflex point

How to do reflexology therapy for the hip? Using the thumb, walk diagonally two steps towards anklebone from the knee reflexes. Apply pressure for 5 seconds. Hip reflexology therapy is useful for arthritis, heal fractures, hip pain, and faster recovery from hip surgery.
